Ladies I am about to blow your mind with this review- you may be asking yourself how so? Like this, I will NEVER purchase another pair of lashes that have to be glued on, nor will I be going back to my girl for my lash extensions!! Yup, you just read this correctly because, the magnetic lashes by Ardell are AMAZING.
The Ardell lashes, that we are bring to you, are the Magnetic Accents that just make your eyes pop. Let me tell you they look so natural, aren’t heavy , and they frame your eyes beautiful to add that little mystique. I get more compliments wearing my Ardell Magnetic Lashes, then I have ever with the full-strip (glued), or my extensions. I have to tell you the little tricks I’ve done that make them extremely easy to apply.
I apply mascara to my lashes 1st, which I’ve noticed it helps with the application process. I place my top lash close to the rim of the lid, and because of the mascara, it helps them sit just on top.. I then place the bottom lash right under the top lash and you feel the magnets lock together, and Bam!! they are on and looking fabulous:
I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feelings on the products, and we would love to see your fabulous lashes on. Please make sure you follow us on Instagram located at http://www.instagram.com/lapazimageing
I know another season of trying to figure out what is on point and what is hot for the season. Don’t panic we got you covered we’ve reviewed all of our footage from NYFW (New York Fashion Week), PFW (Paris Fashion Week), LFW (London Fashion Week), to MFW (Milan Fashion Week), and we’ve put together some of the trends for 2018 Fall season. Now let me give you a little readers discretion here- All Trends Aren’t Good Trends!!
With that being stated this Fall season has so much to select from i.e. the 1980’s fashion revival, futuristic metallic’s, menswear inspired jacket, fabulous fabrics like hounds-tooth, herringbone, and plaids..
Let Your Garden Show:
We love that you can wear the feminine floaty floral materials (sheers to lace), that we all have come to love so much during the summer. As a Certified Image Consultant I’m excited to be apart of the change; the dynamics of what “is” or “isn’t” technically winter/fall or summer/spring. We’re opening up a bigger panel to select from- meaning, you can now take that cute strappy top and place a luxurious sweater underneath:I absolutely love this look and the pop of color with the slacks is what is giving fall definition and details that will take this look straight into the next season.. We love that you don’t have to be restricted any longer with your fabric choices and taking this look from day to-night will be easy by adding a bold colored overcoat or a structured men’s inspired leather jacket: That fabulous structure is going to take your look to the next level (Level Up).. Then when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we have another fabulous fall trend that we are in love with which is the tribal, patchwork or layered look:
What isn’t there to love about this fall trend? It’s so chic and adds such and edge to your wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to incorporate a fabulous poncho or Kimono that you can layer and rework into several different looks.
Ladies guess what else is bringing sexy back? Plaid!! I have to tell you I am a sucker for a great plaid pair of pants, but the plaid coats are too gorgeous for words:Wait and if this look isn’t your favorite- Shearling’s are everywhere from Stella McCartney, Prada, to Louis Vuitton they are slaying the game, and yes PETA is going to have a hard time telling the reals from the fakes (just a warning):
Now here is the best part of fall WHITE, WHITE AND MORE WHITE.. Yup you just read that correctly.. We are taking white out longer than most people would think.. The other thing it’s long lean and clean lines. Who does it best is none other than Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam and, Tom Ford:
Now here is where I say all trends aren’t for everyone- We saw several different makeup looks on the runway and many went from extreme eyeliner, to overly smokey eye as if you went to sleep and forgot to wash your face, to just being overly shiny:
Take a little risk use textures and fabrics to develop your fall style, incorporate quilting, crochet, knits that will help you to strike that fashionable balance, I dare you to have fun.
Bonus Fashion Trends:
I cannot wait to see you all rocking your fall 2018 trends!
Yes I’ve heard your cries regarding, how do you mix and match prints/patterns. This trend is actually a lot of fun- adds more creativity and expands your wardrobe. I find mixing and matching colors, prints and fabrics a little liberating and brings such enjoyment to seeing what I can give birth to. Let me just say this, it does take a little imagination and creativity to see these prints mingling and know how to tie all of it together.
Here are my three (3) tips for Mixing and Matching Prints:
1. Pair Mixed Prints with Neutral Solids: I think until you really get the full gist of mixing and matching this is a fabulous way to introduce the patterns and textures. You can add a sense of subtleness to your mixed patterns by simply breaking them up using layers of neutral solids how Designer Derek Lam did for his collection.2. Make Sure Your Prints Have Some Kind of Similar Elements: Your patterns don’t have to match, they just have to go – I mean they should have a family relation. Color is the main key, it’s the unifying element the basic color rule to keep in mind is: Find a single color that appears in all of the patterns.
Take for instants, my foundation was this beautiful cobalt blue floral blouse, light blue pin stripped wide legged pants (dark blue stripes), and a fabulous Cobalt blue Moto-jacket. The colors play off of each other, but ties everything together which marries this look together seamlessly.
3. Play with Size and Density of Patterns: Now take a deep breath- this is a little more advanced. First, match bigger graphic prints with smaller ones; like a large abstract geometric print would look totally fabulous with a smaller floral.. Much like our first photograph the sherbet stripped blouse and the smaller floral/animal print skirt (LOVING IT!!)
Look, the whole idea behind mixing and matching is Enjoy Yourself!! Have a little fun don’t be afraid of trying new things and doing a few bold moves.. I cannot wait to see the looks that you all produce and if you have any questions please feel free to post your comments..
I know we all have some common reasons why we keep holding onto clothing that we really need to get rid of or donate. Have you ever noticed that when you try to purge your closets your anxiety levels seem to spike crazy out of control?
Look understanding “WHY” it’s hard to let go of clothes you no longer wear or need is your very first step. I’m going to break down my 4 top reasons I see that keep many from purging, as well as the continual stumbling block:
The Items are new and still have tags on them: You’ve gone to the store and there it was the best item that you possibly could have found and you must have it! You grab it in two different colors, and rush out the store- Fast forward, somehow or another once you get this item home it changes it just doesn’t look that great, it maybe a little tight, you reason I’ll lose 5 lbs. and it will be gorgeous, or it simply doesn’t match anything in your wardrobe.. You place it in your closet and 6 months later it’s still hanging there. Let IT GO!! ( In my best Elsa voice) You don’t have to hold onto the guilt of purchasing this- the money is already spent, you cannot use this item and now you need to give it a better home or throw it away, but it still hasn’t made it to the bin. Allowing yourself to keep holding on to items will not allow you to purge and move forward with the things you truly need- it’s really that cut and dry.
2. Its one of the Hottest fashion trends: Okay all trends aren’t for everyone waitwhat did you just read? ALL TRENDS AREN’T FOR EVERYONE!! Meaning, don’t fall into the trap of feeling you must rock or have what others are saying are on point. They don’t know your body-type nor your lifestyle and sooo, everything isn’t for everyone. I found that one of my clients was a trend trapper shopper and literally nothing in her wardrobe complimented her particular body-type, and it didn’t even complement other pieces in her wardrobe. Once you see that you are falling into this trap you need to stop as soon as you can and start looking at your selections a little more practically. Give your closet a good once over see what you have and what you can build on or need be donate, once you start looking at your wardrobe as an extension of your personality you won’t be lured into the purchasing traps.3. You have 3 different sizes in your wardrobe: I know your pain we lose weight, we gain weight, were between weights aka sizes, and our closets now look like our favorite stores clearance rack.. Urgghh!! Don’t panic, just take a deep breath, and know even though you might have yo-yo(d) in your weight there is no reason why you cannot purge the things that are no longer needed nor look good on you. We need to know that even though we all have gone through this, it was a moment and we need to allow ourselves to be comfortable at the size and shape we are currently. There should never be the just in case side of your closet- I assure you that most of the pieces are out dated and no longer reflect your current personality or look.
4. Sentimental Value: I’m totally down with lasting memories, but if it isn’t your wedding dress (personally, I donated my gown to a charity for women who cannot afford to purchase wedding gowns) you can capture those memories in pictures.. Don’t get caught up in having 20 gowns that you will never wear again and still need to purchase a gown for another occasion. Donate your gowns and help someone else that would look just as beautiful and have a new memory to add in their life. Holding on to intangible items will not bring you happiness-allow yourself to live in the present and have a look back every now and then through the pages of your album.
These are just a few of my reasons why you need to let go of things you no longer are wearing or worn. It’s time to bring new energy into your wardrobe by letting go.. Get your bins for 1. Donate 2. Keep 3. Recycle 4. Trash:
Happy purging and always remember that one mans trash is another mans treasure!
As a die-hard fashionista our inner retail diva may scream, WE NEED A UNLIMITED WARDROBE BUDGET!! Realistically, most individuals bank accounts couldn’t handle such a heavy demand. This means you need a workable wardrobe budget. How much should you spend per month? Here is the little thing I tell my clients. You should spend 5% of your monthly income on clothing. How do you find your dollar amount you should spend per month? Multiply your take home pay by .05 i.e. if your monthly take home pay is $3,000 you should spend about $150.00 per month on clothing.
With us being realistic how can we achieve our wardrobe goals? Have no fear I’ve come up with a few tips:
Shop Clearance racks: You will be stunned at all the great finds on the clearance racks.
Sales: Sales are your best friend – They (retailers) must move merchandise, so as to be able to bring in new merch, so in turn they slash some of the hottest must haves of the season.
Outlets: I love Nordstrom and Saks outlets.. Why?? You can get YSL, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci all at half the cost.. Tell me who wouldn’t love this tip?
Re-evaluate your wardrobe: Many times you have incredible things in your closet that are hidden, which in turn could breathe new life into your style and give new definition to your wardrobe.
Make a list: List key elements that are lacking or missing from your wardrobe; this way when you’re out shopping you aren’t purchasing duplicates or not buying the right needed elements.
Once you do all these things, you will be set to start your shopping and not break your bank.
The other tip I want you to do is track your spending habit and make sure you are staying within that bracket. With a few little tweaks you’ll be one stylish fashionista.
